Chants accused U.S. journalists of undercovering the war and misrepresenting it. “Western media we see you, and all the horrors that you hide,” crowds chanted at one point. While Mr. Fetterman may have been in the minority among his political peers, with most of whom following the president’s example and opting for a traditional tux, creative black tie proved a talking point. See Billy Porter in a black sequin caftan over a classic white shirt; Questlove, in an artistically paint-splattered jacket; and Fran Drescher, the SAG-AFTRA president, in a white brocade pantsuit. It’s only fitting, really, given the subtext of journalists being jailed around the world.
Message From The King [TIFF Review]
In contrast to Gray Matter, the House of the Head uses more of a warm pallet in terms of its aesthetic creating the illusion of safety; however, don’t be fooled. There is, of course, something more sinister at play here. As the camera looms into the dollhouse (which is reminiscent of Hereditary), we know some creepy shit is about to go down.
REVIEW: ‘Creepshow,’ Episode 1 – “Gray Matter” / “The House of Head”
It is the conclusion of Gray Matter that really gave me the feeling that I was watching a Creepshow segment–from the camera angels to the lighting by torchlight–both of which made the monstrous reveal even more impactful. But crucially, they will allow local governments to make their own regulations on crypto mine businesses after they were hamstrung by Act 851. They still are denied local control when it comes to regulating “home crypto mining” — which lots of lawmakers are worried might be abused — but in practice is much less likely to cause the same kind of nuisance.

After Evie gets home from mom and daughter movie night, she finds the people in her house have moved again, as has the head. And the head moves more while she’s there, without her noticing until it disappears. She’s sure the dollhouse is haunted.Evie’s father Randy (David Shae) thinks a dollhouse is good for building identity. He and his wife Marsha (Rachel Hendrix) encourage their daughter. They bought the thing from a semi creepy-looking dude named Mr. Ogman (Guy Messenger). Meanwhile, Evie’s got a policeman to watch over the house.
Creepshow — Season 1, Episode 1
It’s also another striking feat of stop-motion animation, with lifelike sets and clothes that practically breathe as the furry characters move. The foundation for the anthology is established by the gothic cloth animation of Emma De Swaef & Marc James Roels, who previously orchestrated the colonization mini-anthology short “This Magnificent Cake! ” Their eye for towering sets, intricate stark detail, and characters with tiny eyes and mouths continues here, with a slow burn tale about a family that suffers from a Faustian homeowner bargain. The father Raymond (Matthew Goode) makes a deal with “an architect of great renown” that he runs into the woods named Mr. Van Schoonbeek (Barney Pilling), who offers them a new mansion and furnishings, for free. The only catch, that they are aware of at least, is that they must give up their current home. Raymond jumps the opportunity as a means of status, to have the nicest house in the area, and make others jealous.

She puts it back into the house, closing the wall up. Or at least she’s trying to escape, anyway.Solid opener for the series! Father Gore loves the story “Gray Matter” by Stephen King, so it was a treat to see it so well adapted, and so gross. Young Cailey Fleming does a fine job in her segment, showing off the chops she’s been developing over on The Walking Dead as Judith Grimes. Ive never read the comics the anthologies are based off of, but the 2nd story in the first Episode of the new Creepshow, is now one of my all-time horror anthology favorites.

Vogel’s future
Two bills, Senate Bill 78 and Senate Bill 79, aiming to regulate crypto mining and address some of the problems created by a bungled law from 2023, passed easily with no debate in the Arkansas House today. In 2019, the Manor pushed Southern California’s luxury real estate market to new heights when it sold for $119.75 million. Protest organizers said they wanted to bring attention to the high numbers of Palestinian and other Arab journalists killed by Israel’s military since the war began in October. The president made a grim speech about what he believes is at stake this election, saying that another Trump administration would be even more harmful to America than his first term. “My vice president actually endorses me,” Biden said.
Gary PalmerHeads Conference forum for policy development. The series premiere kicked off with ‘Gray Matter’ which set the series off with a bang. The most traditional in terms of narrative and set design to the original Creepshow, the segment serves as a 20-minute tribute to Stephen King. Horror aficionados will notice the numerous Easter eggs to King’s previous works–a certain red car from Christine appears on a kitchen table and a flyer for a missing cat named Church.
But the current cat landlord Rosa (Susan Wokoma) is obsessed with refurbishing the place, and has a whole plan charted out. Meanwhile her two current tenants, Elias (Will Sharpe) and Jen (Helena Bonham Carter), don’t pay rent with money but they do share a type of family bond with each other. As the least bleak of the three shorts, this one shows how the promise of a house has a seductive power, representing a desire to cling to the past even when the floor below you is slowly flooding.
A staff of 30 people kept the place in mint condition. At the time, it was considered the largest home in L.A. County at 56,500 square feet, or more than an acre of living space. The number has since been trumped by multiple spec mansions, including one in Bel-Air that clocks in at 105,000 square feet.
The three-story anthology explores the many definitions of what a house can be using different tones and techniques. It also proves the vitality that this special kind of animation can bring to the screen. A worthy watch that hopefully inspires more stories of its kind in the future. Chapter 3 introduces the most beautiful landscapes of the whole film, taking place post global flood as homes are now rendered as tiny islands in an ecosystem threatening to swallow everything in its path. Following in the footsteps of the house flipper, Rosa (Susan Wokoma) is a cat that acts like a human.
The starting five is scheduled to make $184 million alone. That doesn’t provide much roster flexibility but the Suns will have options. Ishbia pointed out that Phoenix has five first-round draft picks over the next eight years. Is there any more underappreciated animation style than stop-motion? The sheer labor alone involved — meticulously assembling and then moving puppetry ligatures frame-by-frame to replicate movement more easily achieved on paper or inside a computer — is mind-boggling.
He said it means the Suns are relevant; people would not care if they were not. When he purchased the Suns in February of 2023, he said he would do everything possible to bring the city its first title. But he says he won’t stop until he reaches his goal.
He’s like this on stage during corporate seminars or on video calls with small groups. He is a force of positivity, making everything out of reach feel closer than it actually is. And this is exactly how Ishbia came off Wednesday during a media session about the stunning end to Phoenix’s basketball season.
